The Christian Music Hall of Fame
The 2008 inductees were announced this week, honoring artists, songwriters and musicians who have dedicated their lives to sharing the gospel through their musical gifts and talents.
David's name along with seven others , Michael W. Smith, Stryper, Dottie Rambo, Ed Enoch, John Schlitt, Lou Wills Hildreth & the Staples Singers have been chosen to join 124 present inductees honored in 2007.
The Christian Music Hall of Fame and Museum, located in Frisco, TX have plans " to provide a place where people can go to see a history of Christian music and share in the lives of those who have celebrated Jesus through their music."

10.07 TIMELESS Concert DVD: We will post the information just as soon as we receive it concerning the release of this wonderful performance featuring timeless songs and artists performing them such as the Imperials, Russ Taff, Bryan Duncan, David Meece, Michael O'Brien and others. There will be a TIMELESS Performance in Orlando at TBN's Holyland Experience . The original date of October 24th is being postponed to a later date in January. We will share the details as we receive them.

THE BEGINNINGS CONCERT DVD

Last year in October, a group of artists from the early "Jesus Music" days, gathered together in San Antonio to give an outstanding concert two nights in a row. Artists featured were: Steve Archer, Chuck Girard, Janny Grein, Don Francisco, David Meece, Dony McGuire & Reba Rambo, Leon Patillo, Dallas Holm, Barry McGuire and guest artist Jeff Ferguson. 07.11.07 TIMELESS EVENT

A free concert was filmed for broadcast on Christian television stations bringing together musicians considered "pioneers" of inspirational music. The concert was held on Tuesday, July 10 at Christ Presbyterian Church, Nashville, TN

"Timeless: The Inspirational Concert Experience" featured Russ Taff, Bonnie Keen, Larnelle Harris, Crystal Lewsi, David Meece, Bob Carlisle, Michael O'Brian, Allan Asbury, Anthem Avenue, Chonda Pierce, The Classic Imperials, Brian Duncan and 80 voices of The Nashville Choir. Classic songs of the church included "People Need the Lord, " "Rise Again, " " He's Alive, " " We Will Stand, " " El Shaddai, " "Holy Ground, " " Praise the Lord" and many others.

"The Timeless concert experience will bring together some of the most popular and impactful Christian artists in history performing some of the industry pioneers involved in this television taping."

The show was produced by Steve Gilreath of SGTV, who also produces the Gospel Music Association Dove Awards. It will air on many Christian television stations and networks throughout the country beginning in the fall.

06.10.07 HUMBLE REUNION

David was honored to receive special recognition Saturday evening, June 9th in his hometown, Humble, TX. Humble High School celebrated their 75th Anniversary calling for a city-wide gala event for all alumni highlighting a few of their graduates who had gone on to make a significant contribution to society.

David also enjoyed the opportunity to visit again with dear friends from childhood days. Several friends the wonderful memories of participating in the opera David wrote, directed and took on the road, a musical based on the life of Paul.
